Business Plan Contest 2008 at KNCT

On July 10, 2008, the KNCT Business Plan Contest 2008 was held in our audio-visual classroom.  All the applicants were students from KNCT, and 12 judges were chosen from business entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and management consultants as well as from KNCT faculty members.  The judges evaluated their plans by focusing on product/business idea, marketability, morality of the plan, degree of contribution to the local region, potential for the business, relevance to KNCT, internationality, and so on.

Five teams made presentations and they spoke about their plans including the market research, the balance of payments, and the long-term plan.  The judges gave some feedback and asked each contestant some tough questions, but the contestants somehow managed to answer in a limited amount of time.

Here is the list of the five plans:

-"MacadamiaNutsCracker" (Planning and development of macadamia nut crackers)

-Discovering original products in Kure and supporting its commercialization

-Local development on an international level

-Internet booking service for medical institutions

-Bag rain cover
