From August
22 to September 4, two students of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Nikolay and
Pavel, stayed at KNCT. They joined the Prof. Inoue’s laboratory in the Department
of Electrical Engineering and Information science, and successfully completed
the special research project on neural networks, under the collaboration
scheme between Tomsk Polytechnic University and KNCT.

They communicated in
English.
Each of them gave a presentation on their project work on the final day.
Before this program I have not ever studied abroad, so it is my first experience.
To tell honestly, I was a bit frightened before coming here. I think it
was because of a new country, new people, new culture. But when I came
here, I found that everybody was friendly here. I found a lot of new friends!
Nobody avoided, if I asked for help, and that was great.

Despite language it was very good that we were met with hospitality in
Japan. Some days prof. Inoue entertained us, some days students of college
took us to downtown. On weekend we had informative program almost for all
day, and it was good that the students always walked with us and helped
to communicate in shopping mall.
