KNCT concluded an Agreement
of Cooperation in Education and Research with Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU)
in Russia.From December 4th
to 6th, 2007, President Ichita Endo and Vice President Kazuo Takemura
visited TPU in western Siberia.After
paying a courtesy call on President Pokholkov, both organizations exchanged
valuable information and expressed their future vision, and observed some
facilities and classes in fundamental physics.
At the ceremony that was held on December 5th, President Endo and President
Pokholkov signed the agreement and agreed to promote further
collaboration. There are decent number of students who are interested in
Japanese language and culture at TPU. We will promote mutual visits by students
and faculty not only for special research, but also for cultural exchange in the
future.
